Atleti to face Espanyol in last LaLiga match of the year
Atlético will face RCD Espanyol at 9:30 p.m. CET.
At 9:30 p.m. CET, Atlético de Madrid will face RCD Espanyol in the RCDE Stadium.
Espanyol are managed by Quique Sánchez Flores, ex Atlético manager, and are currently 16th in LaLiga with 17 points. Meanwhile, Atlético are second with 36 points.
"Espanyol have an intelligent coach who knows Atlético de Madrid well," Diego Pablo Simeone said in a press conference. "The other day, with three players in the midfield Espanyol played a great match."
This will be Atlético's last league match of the year and Simeone knows it won't be an easy one.
"They have great players from the midfield up and this will make us assess our options to decide what lineup will be best for us."
