Atleti face Real Madrid outside Europe for the first time
Our team is ready for the third game of the pre-season in what will be the first Madrid Derby ever to be played outside Europe.
New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium is about to host the first Madrid Derby ever to be played outside Europe. The International Champions Cup 2019 clash will also be our first derby of the season, as well as our third pre-season match and the second of the Atleti Summer Tour.
Simeone’s team have won the previous two games: 3-0 against Numancia – thanks to goals from Vitolo, Saponjic and Felipe – and a penalty shootout success over Chivas.
On the other hand, Real Madrid have registered a win and a defeat so far this pre-season, having won against Arsenal and lost against Bayern Munich.
