The match was vibrating from the start, with Atlético well-positioned on the field and taking advantage of their first opportunity of a set piece. Tiago, scored the 0-1 with a header from a corner. Ronaldo tied with a penalty in a phase where Moyá made two excellent interventions to shots from Ronaldo and Benzema.
After the half time, Atlético de Madrid took the field with their minds set on taking control of the game and they got it. And, as the match got better for our team, Arda Turan entered the playing field. The Turk warned twice with two separate shots that missed the goal by very little. On his third try, he hit the target and beat Casillas.
