The 2019/20 season kicks off at the Wanda Metropolitano with our team facing Getafe. The LaLiga Matchday 1 derby is to be played on Sunday at 10 pm CET.
Simeone’s men enjoyed a perfect pre-season, winning six games out of six. The lads returned from their holidays on July 4, when they began training at in Madrid and a few days later in San Rafael before heading to the US and Mexico. Our last pre-season match was played on Aug. 10, when we beat Juventus in Stockholm.
Sunday’s game will be the 28th time we face Getafe, against whom we have a record of 18 wins, six draws and four defeats. Last season, our team earned 2-0 wins at home and away.
Atleti will look to earn another win at the Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday to kick off LaLiga in the best possible way.
