Agreement with Málaga for the transfer of Jesús Gámez
The 29-year-old defender underwent the medical examination in Majadahonda’s Fremap before signing as an Atlético.
Atlético de Madrid and Málaga CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jesús Gámez (Fuengirola, Málaga, 1985) to our Club. The fullback has committed with the red and white Club for the next three seasons once he passes the corresponding medical tests.
Gámez, 29 years old, has spent his entire sporting career linked to Málaga. The defender came to Málaga’s first team in 2005 from the farm team, where he was trained as a footballer since he was a cadet. During the past season, Gámez played 28 matches, all of them in the starter team.
José Luis Pérez Caminero, our Club’s Sporting Manager, was satisfied with the arrival of Jesús Gámez to the Vicente Calderón: "Gámez is a fullback with quality and experience who will reinforce our defence and increase the group’s internal competitiveness. He can also play in a central position, allowing us to have other variables in the defensive game. His experience will be helpful to the group".
