Agreement with Girona for the transfer of Bounou
The goalkeeper came to our club in the summer of 2012 and played two seasons in Atlético B before he was loaned to Zaragoza, where has played the two last years.
Atlético de Madrid and Girona FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Yassine Bounou to the Catalonian team, where he will play under Pablo Machín.
The Moroccan goalkeeper, although born in Montreal (Canada), came to our club in the summer of 2012 from AC Wydad of Morocco. Bounou was part of Atlético B during the 12-13 and 13-14 seasons, being then loaned to Real Zaragoza in the 14-15 season. He returned to Atlético de Madrid, but was again loaned last season to continue playing minutes in the Aragonese squad.
From Atlético de Madrid we thank his effort during the time he has defended our colours and wish him the best of luck in this new stage with Girona.
