Atlético de Madrid and the Italian club Fiorentina have reached an agreement for the transfer of Stefan Savic to our club. The player arrived this Monday in Madrid, underwent the medical examination at the FREMAP Clinic of Las Rozas and Majadahonda and in the evening signed his contract for five seasons and joined the team’s concentration in Los Ángeles de San Rafael.

Under-21 international with the national team of Montenegro, Stefan Savic (Mojkovac, Montenegro, 16/8/1991) is a young promise who has great prospects. He started his football career in Serbia, with BSK Borca, a club with which he won the Serbian First Division in the 2008/09 season. He later signed with Belgrad’s Partizan, where he won the Super League and the Serbian Cup in the 2010/11 season.

He was signed by Manchester City to play the 2011/12 season, a club with which he won the Premier League and the Community Shield that season. From there, he went to Italy to play with Fiorentina in the 2012/13 season, the club he comes from.

He is a centre-field who can play on the right wing. In Fiorentina, he has uncovered as one of Calcio’s most important defenders.

Jose Luis Perez Caminero, Sporting Director of the club, believes this to be a great reinforcement: "We are very pleased by the agreement reached with Fiorentina, because Stefan is a player with huge prospects and a great future ahead. He is a quick and potent defender, with experience despite his youth due to having played in the top leagues of Serbia, England and Italy. I am convinced that he will contribute greatly to the team."
