Adrian extended his contract until 2018
The Asturian striker signed the renewal of the contractual relationship with our club until 30th of June 2018. The extension of the forwards contract shows the firm commitment of the club to build a solid project for the future.
Adrian Lopez and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement to renew the contract of the footballer with our organization until the 30th of June 2018. The Atletico striker arrived at the Atleti in 2011-12 from Deportivo La Coruna season, since then the Spaniard has been part of the titles won by the club in recent seasons.
The Spaniard assessed the renewal and welcomed the extension of the contract . "I'm very happy for the renewal. To continue at Atletico was always my first target. The team is great and I want to be at the best level to help the group stay the same."
José Luis Pérez Caminero, sporting director, said the renovation for the forward is "great news for all Atletico", he remarked, explaining later that "Adrian is a great player and to continue linked to this project was what we were looking".
"Adrian the signed for the club in the same season that we initiated the current project and personally therefore this contract extension is a special one" Caminero said.
