A successful pre-season
Simeone’s squad has played nine matches with a balance of seven victories. The pre-season has ended with the win of the Ramón de Carranza Trophy.
The prestigious Ramón de Carranza Trophy is the perfect finale to a good pre-season of Simeone’s squad. Our team has played a total of nine games with a balance of seven wins, a draw and a defeat. As to goals, we have scored thirteen and just conceded two. The preseason kicked off on the 8th of July in the Sports City. Later, the team travelled to Los Ángeles de San Rafael before starting the tour of matches in Spain and Asia.
Regarding statistical data, the team has had great results both in attack and defence. We just conceded two goals in the nine matches played this pre-season. Jan Oblak has managed to keep a clean slate in the four games he’s played. In the scoring side, Antoine Griezmann has finished as the top scorer with four goals for the two of Torres and Correa.
The next match will be official. We will measure up against U.D. Las Palmas on Saturday, the 22nd of August at 20:30, at the Vicente Calderón.
