A European win in the Euroamerican Cup
Our two wins, plus those of Seville and Porto allow Europe win the Euroamerican Cup title. A organisational success reflected in packed stadiums with special environments.
The first edition of the Euroamericana Cup see the trophy going across the Atlantic ocean to Europe after our team managed to win with Sevilla and Porto, making it 6 wons out of the 8 games.
For our side the tournament began in Argentina where we visited Estudiantes, who managed to excel with a solitary goal in Buenos Aires. Afterwards, we travelled to Peru and Uruguay, where we get added two points for the European teams winning those games 1-0 and 2-0 respectively.
Meanwhile, Sevilla and Porto also contributed two points each for Europe. In the case of the Andalusians, they beat Catholic University of Chile (0-2) and Barcelona of Ecuador (1-3) while the Portuguese side beat Deportivo Anzoategui in Venezuela (2-4) and Millonarios of Colombia (0-4).
Euroamericana Cup organized by DirecTV has been a great tournament that has seen been packed stands where American fans have shown their passion for football.
